Infantry is useless as a counter - maybe sniper would work? But the machineguns have ridiculous range. unless you put tellers in there as well and then you have a single minefield for 110.įlamenwerfer Halftracks are an early-game thing at best. Mines protect from flanking, but lategame they are a terribe idea - a single tank will delete your entire minefield. Then they are able to just smoke or even more ridiculously - just fire even supressed until the MG is dead. However - not everbody likes the Ostruppen doctrine and I dont have Mechanized. Stug III Es are a good counter, because of their fast rate of fire. So a moving blob is hard to hit without microing ground attack, but I cannot babysit my Brummbar all the time. What worked a bit for me, is getting close, behind some obstacle with a Panzerfwerfer and blasting them witih a close barrage, but this is dangerous, so most of the time my Werfer just sits in the back and then its quite inaccurate.īrummbar would probably work, but it is extremely inconsistent - not to mention unable to lead its fire. Maybe Ostwind?īut what would be best is a definitive strategy for countering paras as Ost. B) tanks aren't a counter - a single Jackson can counter most of Ostheer armor and I tend to not use Panthers until late-lategame, because they are ridiculously expensive for how "meh" they are.
